This information is for estimation purposes only and determining actual distance needed to clear obstacles during takeoff is the sole responsibility of the PPC pilot. The data presented here was calculated based on "standard conditions" and any actual values will be based on the performance of your machine and the ambient conditions that exist at time of takeoff.

Below are five charts that may come in handy for estimating ground distance needed to clear obstacles during takeoff. Calculations are based on 30 mph and typical climb rates for Powered Parachutes.
Ground roll before rotation is not calculated here. These values are calculated based on no head wind.

Select your typical "Climb Rate"
